Statement From Sally Martin: Painting is my way of expressing what I see and how I feel. Horses are a constant subject in my work, in my eyes the equine form is endlessly beautiful and fascinating. My interest is in the connection between horse and rider, the process of daily training in the pursuit of perfection in unity and movement. I reflect and draw on the parallels of the horse/rider partnership with the possible human experience of attaining balance in life and living well with grace and patience.
